Bhuna Gosht
Over the weekend, I tried this recipe inspired from Karachi. Settling down with an indulgent dish and a movie is a great start to the weekend according to me. Try this recipe here.
Ingredients:
- 300 gms cubed mutton
- 2 small tomatoes
- 1 large onion sliced
- 1/2 tsp jeera
- 1/2 tsp shahi jeera
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chili
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 2 pods of cardamom
- 1 bay leaf
- 2-3 tbsp of yogurt
Method:
- Grind tomatoes, jeera, shahi jeera, mix it with ginger garlic paste, garam masala and chili powder.
- Marinate mutton in this mixture for an hour.
- Saute onion in a thick bottomed vessel till brown.
- Add mutton and let it cook for 10 minutes.
- Add cardamom, bay leaf, salt and let it cook for 5 more minutes.
- Add yogurt, cook for 10 more minutes, add water, cook for 5- 10 minutes more and serve hot with naan.
